The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Bera plotted against Rajshahi and Bangladesh. The SNDi of new construction in Bera rose steadily, compared to Rajshahi which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and Bangladesh which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Bera's incremental SNDi rose from 9.83 to 11.38 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Bera ranked 28th out of 37 cities in Rajshahi and 184th out of 234 in Bangladesh as of 2020.

In new street additions, Bera built increasingly disconnected streets over time, while Onomichi fluctuated in its street-construction patterns and Resende built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved. For the full street network, though, all three cities follow the same trend.
