The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Tarakandi plotted against Mymensingh and Bangladesh. The SNDi of new construction in Tarakandi was at its lowest in 1991-2005, compared to Mymensingh which rose steadily and Bangladesh which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Tarakandi's incremental SNDi rose from 2.1 to 3.01 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Tarakandi ranked 11th out of 24 cities in Mymensingh and 53rd out of 234 in Bangladesh as of 2020.

In new street additions, Tarakandi built increasingly connected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then shifted to more disconnected patterns, while Souk Sebt Oulad Nemma built increasingly connected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then shifted to more disconnected patterns and Aiyepe built increasingly disconnected streets over time. Looking at the full network, Souk Sebt Oulad Nemma and Aiyepe both became more connected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then grew more sprawly from 1976-1990 onwards, while Tarakandi became progressively more connected. Notably, Tarakandi had a more sprawly network than Aiyepe in 1975 but the two have since reversed their relative ranking.
