The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Bhatara plotted against Mymensingh and Bangladesh. The SNDi of new construction in Bhatara followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase, compared to Mymensingh which rose steadily and Bangladesh which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Bhatara's incremental SNDi fell from 10.14 to 8.64 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Bhatara ranked 21st out of 24 cities in Mymensingh and 169th out of 234 in Bangladesh as of 2020.

In new street additions, Bhatara fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, while Jingxian built increasingly connected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then shifted to more disconnected patterns and Tlapa de Comonfort built increasingly disconnected streets over time. For the full network, Bhatara became more connected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then grew more sprawly from 1976-1990 onwards, while Jingxian became more connected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then grew more sprawly from 1991-2005 onwards and Tlapa de Comonfort became progressively more disconnected. Bhatara and Jingxian have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
