The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Bagerhat plotted against Khulna and Bangladesh. The SNDi of new construction in Bagerhat was at its lowest in 1976-1990, compared to Khulna which rose steadily and Bangladesh which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Bagerhat's incremental SNDi rose from 3.98 to 5.18 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Bagerhat ranked 6th out of 23 cities in Khulna and 48th out of 234 in Bangladesh as of 2020.

What about similarly populated cities?
In new street additions, Bagerhat built increasingly connected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then shifted to more disconnected patterns, while Nagaoka built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved and Coquimbo fluctuated in its street-construction patterns. Looking at the full network, Nagaoka and Coquimbo both became progressively more disconnected, while Bagerhat became more connected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then grew more sprawly from 1976-1990 onwards.
