The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Zajira plotted against Dhaka and Bangladesh. All three follow the same trend in new construction, suggesting a shared regional pattern of development. Most recently, Zajira's incremental SNDi rose from 5.54 to 9.86 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Zajira ranked 24th out of 40 cities in Dhaka and 129th out of 234 in Bangladesh as of 2020.

Zajira, Yeleswaram, and Samchon all fluctuated in its street-construction patterns in new street construction. For the full network, Zajira and Yeleswaram both fluctuated in connectivity, while Samchon became progressively more disconnected. Notably, Zajira had a more connected network than Yeleswaram in 1975 but the two have since reversed their relative ranking.
