The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Dhanbari plotted against Dhaka and Bangladesh. The SNDi of new construction in Dhanbari was at its lowest in 1976-1990, compared to Dhaka which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and Bangladesh which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Dhanbari's incremental SNDi rose from 7.09 to 9.24 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Dhanbari ranked 22nd out of 40 cities in Dhaka and 124th out of 234 in Bangladesh as of 2020.

In new street additions, Dhanbari built increasingly connected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then shifted to more disconnected patterns, while Mit Afia built increasingly disconnected streets over time and Bir El Ater built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved. For the full network, Dhanbari became more connected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then grew more sprawly from 1976-1990 onwards, while Mit Afia became progressively more disconnected and Bir El Ater grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved. Dhanbari and Mit Afia have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
