The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Saral plotted against Chittagong and Bangladesh. The SNDi of new construction in Saral followed a zig-zag trend with an overall decrease, compared to Chittagong which rose steadily and Bangladesh which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Saral's incremental SNDi fell from 11.34 to 9.42 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Saral ranked 36th out of 44 cities in Chittagong and 203rd out of 234 in Bangladesh as of 2020.

In new street additions, Saral fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, while Kaélé built increasingly disconnected streets over time and Anju built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved. Looking at the full network, Kaélé and Anju both became progressively more disconnected, while Saral fluctuated in connectivity.
