The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Nazirhat plotted against Chittagong and Bangladesh. The SNDi of new construction in Nazirhat rose steadily, compared to Chittagong which rose steadily and Bangladesh which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Nazirhat's incremental SNDi rose from 8.27 to 8.38 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Nazirhat ranked 23rd out of 44 cities in Chittagong and 149th out of 234 in Bangladesh as of 2020.

In new street additions, Nazirhat built increasingly disconnected streets over time, while Wenjiang built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved and Zhangqiu fluctuated in its street-construction patterns. For the full network, Nazirhat and Wenjiang both became progressively more disconnected, while Zhangqiu fluctuated in connectivity.
