The SNDi of new construction in San Martín rose steadily, compared to Mendoza which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and Argentina which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, San Martín's incremental SNDi rose from 3.24 to 3.62 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, San Martín ranked 3rd out of 3 cities in Mendoza and 73rd out of 77 in Argentina as of 2020.

In new street additions, San Martín and Al Inab al Saghirah both built increasingly disconnected streets over time, while Tongyeong-si fluctuated in its street-construction patterns. For the full network, San Martín and Al Inab al Saghirah both became progressively more disconnected, while Tongyeong-si fluctuated in connectivity. Notably, San Martín had a more connected network than Tongyeong-si in 1975 but the two have since reversed their relative ranking.
