The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Lumeje plotted against Moxico and Angola. The SNDi of new construction in Lumeje followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase, compared to Moxico which peaked in 1976-1990 and Angola which rose steadily. Most recently, Lumeje's incremental SNDi rose from 1.75 to 3.93 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Lumeje ranked 4th out of 6 cities in Moxico and 20th out of 56 in Angola as of 2020.

In new street additions, Lumeje and Masalani both fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, while Cacongo built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved. For the full network, Lumeje and Cacongo both became progressively more disconnected, while Masalani fluctuated in connectivity. Notably, Lumeje had a more connected network than Cacongo in 1975 but the two have since reversed their relative ranking.
