The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Chibia plotted against Huíla and Angola. The SNDi of new construction in Chibia followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase, compared to Huíla which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and Angola which rose steadily. Most recently, Chibia's incremental SNDi fell from 3.0 to 2.99 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Chibia ranked 5th out of 6 cities in Huíla and 31st out of 56 in Angola as of 2020.

In new street additions, Chibia fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, while Bazoul built increasingly connected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then shifted to more disconnected patterns and Oranjestad fluctuated in its street-construction patterns. For the full network, Chibia became more connected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then grew more sprawly from 1976-1990 onwards, while Bazoul became more connected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then grew more sprawly from 1991-2005 onwards and Oranjestad fluctuated in connectivity. Chibia and Oranjestad have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
