What about similarly populated cities?
In new street additions, Berrouaghia fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, while Yichezhen fluctuated in its street-construction patterns and Matou built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved. For the full network, Berrouaghia grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved, while Yichezhen fluctuated in connectivity and Matou became progressively more disconnected. Notably, Berrouaghia had a more sprawly network than Matou in 1975 but the two have since reversed their relative ranking.
