The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Messaad plotted against Djelfa and Algeria. The SNDi of new construction in Messaad peaked in 1976-1990, compared to Djelfa which peaked in 1976-1990 and Algeria which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall decrease. Most recently, Messaad's incremental SNDi fell from 1.71 to 1.57 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In new street additions, Messaad built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved, while Fengtai built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved and Soe built increasingly disconnected streets over time. Looking at the full network, Fengtai and Soe both became progressively more disconnected, while Messaad grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved.
