The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Algiers plotted against Alger and Algeria. While Alger and Algeria both followed a zig-zag trend with an overall decrease, Algiers's new street additions followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Algiers's incremental SNDi rose from 4.59 to 5.22 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Algiers ranked 3rd out of 3 cities in Alger and 97th out of 109 in Algeria as of 2020.
