The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Girishk plotted against Hilmand and Afghanistan. While Hilmand and Afghanistan both followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase, Girishk's new street additions followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Girishk's incremental SNDi rose from 2.27 to 2.52 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Girishk ranked 1st out of 2 cities in Hilmand and 8th out of 73 in Afghanistan as of 2020.

In new street additions, Girishk and Delicias both fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, while Trang Bang built increasingly connected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then shifted to more disconnected patterns. For the full network, Girishk fluctuated in connectivity, while Trang Bang became more connected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then grew more sprawly from 1976-1990 onwards and Delicias became progressively more disconnected.
